Ha Noi
About This Spot
Stepping into Ha Noi feels like slipping into a quietly vibrant neighborhood nook where the city’s rhythm softens just enough to welcome a slower, more deliberate pace. The space is modest yet inviting, with touches that hint at the rich heritage behind the cuisine—warm wooden accents, subtle Vietnamese details, and an atmosphere that encourages conversation without hurry. It’s a spot that feels equally comfortable for a solo lunch pause or a relaxed meal with family and friends.
Here, the experience revolves around genuine moments of connection—whether it’s the hushed clink of chopsticks in a shared bowl of pho, or the gentle hum of friendly servers moving thoughtfully between tables. The food mirrors this warmth with dishes that aren’t just about flavor but about balance and comfort. The fresh brightness of a green papaya salad, the soothing steam rising from a bowl of pho, and the cozy familiarity of a ginger and scallion chicken lunch special create a quietly satisfying harmony on the palate.
Desserts, like the rich coffee flan or delightfully crisp fried ice cream, offer a gentle sweetness that lingers alongside cups of fragrant green tea or fresh young coconut water—each pairing adding a nuanced note to the overall experience. It’s a place where meals invite you to slow down, savor each bite, and soak in the calm energy that buzzes softly around the room.
Ha Noi feels less like a restaurant and more like a well-kept local secret that patiently waits for discovery. The natural ease of the service and the thoughtfully curated menu complement the space’s intimate scale, making it a quietly uplifting retreat from the city's usual pace. For those seeking a taste of Vietnam in a setting that embraces human moments and authentic comfort, this Brooklyn spot offers a sincere, heartfelt welcome.

SEANWICHES 28 Nov 2025
Ha Noi in Brooklyn hit me like a surprise vacation. The food was incredible, comforting, sharp, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the BBQ pho, and it might be the best bowl I’ve ever had. The broth was rich, the meat smoky, and the noodles held together beautifully. My partner finished hers fast enough to prove I wasn’t exaggerating. And then there’s the bathroom. Anthony Bourdain once said, “I won’t eat in a restaurant with filthy bathrooms. They let you see the bathrooms. If they can’t keep those clean, imagine what the kitchen looks like.” Ha Noi’s was spotless. That kind of care tells you everything about how they run the place. I’d go back tomorrow without hesitation.

Food was amazing. Service was perfect as well. I went on a Friday afternoon while everyone was at work. The food arrived fast and tasted delicious. The waiters were helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place for a sit down lunch. Atmosphere was very calming. Perfect place to sit down and chat with your friends and family. The decorations fit perfectly into the theme of the restaurant. Pure Vietnamese food no lies told. Subway is a few feet away so it’s very accessible and buses run in the area. Location is perfect.

This place has a unique interior, and the staff are friendly. It’s a great spot for individuals or families with children, and the dishes are delicious and home style. We’ve got a pho and steamed angel hair noodles. Also ordered a coffee flan for dessert which was rich and dense but a bit too sweet of the flan itself however when paired each bite well with the coffee topping, it balanced out the sweetness perfectly!

There simply aren't enough great words to describe the love that goes into the food and is showered on patrons at Ha Noi. The pho is always super fresh, piping hot, and so flavorful. The beef rolls are so tendered and delightfully grilled. The green papaya salad was perfectly spiced. The pineapple fried rice was slightly sweet and savory and simple. Adding the shrimp was a nice option to get some protein with the carbs! The heat of the beef sate builds as you eat it and warms the tongue so nicely, and the veggies in it retain their crispness. The noodles with beef were yummy, as well. And I can't say enough about the warmth and kindness of the staff! Grace is such a beautiful human! If ever a name matched the person, this one absolutely did! Really lovely to be able to sit outside when it's nice out.

As a big fan of Vietnamese cuisine, I found the flavors of the food we had to be inconsistent. The pho broth was too salty for my liking, and the fried calamari had an excessive amount of breading. However, the bo luc lac was delicious. The service was friendly!
